I use it to take all sorts of stuff out of my little electric oven as well as out of the big gas oven. It's really big and really handy....and it's so sturdy, you could probably lengthen the handle and shovel snow with it --- although I wouldn't do that. We don't have much snow in South Texas. |

| I have not owned another peel so I cannot make a comparison. However, I am using this peel for my bread while baking it on a pizza stone and I am certain that it is doing a great job. It does what it needs to do and the material just feels very elegant and shows quality. |

| It's sturdy, made of stainless steel with a nice hardwood handle and does the job well. I really don't know how you could do better. |

| You've rolled out your pizza dough and now you have to get it neatly on to the baking stone that's sitting preheated in your over. Put a thin coat of oil on this peel (or flour) and slip it under the uncooked pizza and off you go. A particularly nice feature: the handle folds up for easier storage |
