| The Drinkwell® Aqua Garden is a Hydroponic Cat Grass Garden designed to work specifically with the Original Drinkwell® Pet Fountain and the Drinkwell® Platinum Pet Fountain (with the use of the Aqua Garden adapter, included with the Platinum Fountain). Fountains are sold separately. The constant circulation of water causes the 100% organic wheat grass seeds to germinate and begin to grow within a few days, with full growth at around seven or eight days. The grass treat becomes available to the pet as soon as it begins to grow out of the seed pod. The Aqua Garden includes one seed pod and one basket. Replaceable seed pods are also available to grow again and again! Garden only! Does not include fountain. |

My cats love this item. My grass grew in a little over a week and keeps growing. It is a little loose on the side of the fountain and my cats like to take it out and drag it around with them (they seem a little upset when I pick it up and move it back to the fountain). I haven't had too much trouble with it messing up the water but I clean the fountain every other week and have the extra water bottle on the back. I also before attaching it popped of the top and redistributed the seeds since they were only in one compartment.
Over all a good buy. |

This is the best - snaps on easily, cleans easily & works just great. Our cats love to pull out the grass just like they were outside. They love it and it is a great conversation piece just like the Drinkwell. Our cats are truly spoiled!

| My cat has been obsessed with the bathroom sink--asking to have access to the faucet numerous times a day. She also has feline hyperesthesia (basically kitty OCD where she chases and attacks her tail) and I needed something to occupy her little mind. She loves this fountain. She figured out after the second day she can drink from the spout like she does the faucet. Sometimes she just lays by it (I think the sound is soothing) or just watches it. She is a good drinker, so getting more water into her was not an issue--but if you have an animal who needs to drink more water, this would do it. The motor is almost silent, and I love that I can break it apart and pop it into the dishwasher. You don't really need the special cleaning kit for the motor--a Q Tip works just fine. You do need to keep the water level up or the motor starts sputtering. Be sure to watch that as you lose some water to evaporation as well as consumption. It's very easy to maintain, though. I highly recommend! |

This has been a great little bonus addition for our Drinkwell Original Pet Fountain. I've read some of the reviews and I hope you find this opinion helpful:
1. Messy = Happy Kitten!
The grass quickly grew very well and kitty loves it. Yes, there is a mess as kitty enjoyed the the grass blades, pulling up the roots, slinging water & bits... and all of that is the true kitty seal of approval and evidence of the bonus joy created by the product.
2. Container Slipping = Clip it!
The grass seed container itself sits neatly inside the water basin while it's clip fastened solidly onto the fountain's molded exterior indentation. Slipping it down over the rounded portion of the basin rim will cause the container to slip off. It must have the clip seated into the molded recess in the rear of the main unit's basin rim so that the seed pod does not slip off.
3. Slimy Water = Fresh Water!
By completely changing out your cat's water regularly with a full supply of fresh clean water, whether using a filter or not, is not only the normal proper care for your kitty, but also there would not be any issues will green slimy water from the grass pod. |

| As i said on my aqua garden cartridges this is excellent idea for all of us that have no place around the house for a plant or a garden. my 4 cats love it. the only problem is that one of my cats keeps draging it out, since she likes to play with it while eating the grass, so i have to constantly check that its in the right place. everyday check the water level....very important!!!! |
